List of tasks

On march 23 i have to present my thesis, so i have to finish ot before going there. I am leaving nest week to dresden to talk with Andreas, fun things should come out from the conversation.

Mac is not working as NSF client of a Linuz client, is this possible?, i am really nervous about it.

The very profound dialogue this week is about the Colombianization of Mexico, (don't get me wrong i love Colombia) but this thing is going to worse. I haven't realized the damage that lack of lidership cen bring, while in globalization terms Mexico seems to be in the midddle of everything as always. The problem is that Mexico keeps on living in some kind of one step to the front and three to the back. The net sum is that we go backwards.

That was nbot too deep, i will try some other time next week. By now my TODO list keeps opn growing, so i better keep my mind running fast.

I think that i should finish the manuscript that could give me space to think on many things.

A very lonely planet.

It is incredible how can the planet keep on spinning while more than 140 000 people have died and many millions have lost everything. I feel terrible sorry about it, we have give up a little money, but nothing seems to be not enough. how do you reconstruct 4 countries?, how do you make all this people to have a better live?.

Cook the Universe.

If you want to cook the universe, you will need some Good Recipe, This one is from Frank Wilczek the Herman Feshbach Professor of Physics at MIT. He talks about a nice program called Atom in a box.

The next few weeks i wil be very busy preparing mi final disseration for my thesis, i will finish writing the thesis while writing proposals for the postdoc.

Right now i am doing a 3D code of Helium interacting with s trong laser field. The nice thing is that we preserve the complete correlation of the 2 electrons, the bad thing is that it is not fully tridimensional. I am preparing movies of the evolution with a very short pulse.

I am facing two major inconvients, It is known that all the information regarding one system is the wavefunction, so the tale says that if you have it, then you know everything, but it is not true. We are trained into the projection over eigenstates, and therefore the complete wavefunction as is, whitout of the knowledge of the eigenstates of the systems is hard to interpret.

On the other hand. two and three electron wavefunctions are hard to interpret even for the eigenstates, and this gets more complicated in a non perturbative time dependent problem. Furthermore, the eigenstates are unknown and there is degeneration so the difficulty grows.

So the wavefunction is essentialm but does not say much on its own.

New year, new blog

As my dearest internet provider only gave me 10Mb of server space i have to make yet another blog as a continuation of the previous. So happy new year to everybody.
